What we collect

When you join the waitlist we store your email address, a short tag for which page you submitted the form from, your browser's user-agent string, and a one-way hash of your IP address — never the address itself — which is used only to stop spam and abuse. That's the whole list. No name, no boat details, no payment information.

Why we collect it

So we can tell you when your slot in the Vela beta opens, let you know when we launch, and occasionally send a build note. Nothing else.

Who sees it

We do. We don't sell the list, rent it, or share it with third parties for their marketing.

Getting removed

Email ahoy@leavingport.com and we'll delete your row. No form, no account, no waiting — just ask.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. There is no tracking script on any page.

The product is separate

This policy is about the website only. Vela itself — the Console aboard your boat and the app that talks to it — keeps your boat's data on the boat. See the FAQ and how it works for that side of things.
